Effective Oracle by Design. Personally signed by Tom Kyte. During my 25 years career first as developer and then as database administrator between 1998 and 2022 I attended most presentations Tom Kyte gave visiting Massachusetts and after seeing that some people brought his books which he happily signed when approached. So i brought his books i purchased during those years because and got 2 of them signed by him. I will list second signed book ( different one ) shortly. If you don't know who Tom Kyte was ( i believe he retired rom his career ) search internet. I started with Oracle version 7.2 up to 11. His books that I have cover versions 7.3 until 9. By version 10 I didn't need his books any longer thus don't have updated versions if there is such. But his practical approach I'm sure is applicable even up to current versions ( I'm not even sure which one Oracle is at, but i remember that MA financial companies were not in a hurry to go beyond 11 at that time. I spoke to Oracle support and asked several of them which version of Oracle is the most stable and got the same answer - 10.2.0.4 with latest update. If you read his books and practice what he is writing you will become a much better developer or DBA. ps. I have a bunch of super unique books books on Oracle internals and many other subjects, which i listed as one bundle.
